During his tenure from 1970-1986 as the Pastor of the First Baptist Church in Springdale, Arkansas, the church grew from 180 to 2,450 in Sunday School in a town of merely 20,000. He is considered by those who know to be one of - if not THE - finest Bible teachers of the last 60 years. He was the only Bible teacher that the late Dr. Adrian Rogers, Pastor of the Belview Baptist Church in Memphis, listened to regularly. Born on August 21, 1925, Cliff went to be with the Lord on November 28, 2020. His dear wife of over 72 years, Mary, followed him into glory on June 10, 2023.
