-
That the Bible is the inspired,
infallible, inerrant Word
of God, and that it is our
only rule of faith and practice.
-
That the Alexandrian texts that
are the basis of most all of the
modern English translations of
the Bible are corrupt, that the
Antiochian texts are not, and
that the King James Version of
the Bible, which descends from
the texts that came through
Antioch, is God's preserved Word
for English-speaking people. Click

Explanation Of Our Stance On
The King James Bible
-
That all souls need salvation
from their sins, and that Jesus
Christ paid the sin debt for all
mankind so that we do not have
to.
-
That salvation is a free gift,
bestowed upon all who choose to
receive Jesus Christ by an act
of their will, and that
salvation is given to us by
Grace, through Faith, plus
nothing.
-
That in order to be saved, one
must come to Christ in
repentance for one's sins, and
by an act of the will accept by
faith the Lord Jesus Christ as
personal Saviour. We do not
believe that it is possible for
anyone to live a life that is “good
enough”
to take them to heaven when they
die.
-
That the biblical Doctrine of
Imputation teaches that -
(A) mankind
is lost because, when Adam
sinned, a sin nature was put to
the account (imputed) of the
entire human race (Romans 5:12);
(B) when
Jesus Christ was on the Cross,
the sins of all mankind were
placed upon Him (II Corinthians
5:21);
(C) when He
said, “it is
finished!”,
it meant that He had paid the
sin debt for all mankind - past,
present, and future; and
(D), when a
person accepts Christ as
Saviour, God assigns (imputes)
Christ's righteousness to that
person's account, and God
forevermore sees him in Christ,
His Son, rather than in his sins
(II Corinthians 5:21 &
Philippians 3:9).
-
That Christ died, therefore, for
the sins of the WHOLE world, not
just for those people whom He
knew were going to accept Him as
Saviour, even though not every
one of them would do so.
-
That the Bible teaches that
salvation is ETERNAL, and that
our security is in Christ.
Therefore, it is impossible for
someone to become lost again
after having been saved.
-
That the Bible is not a book of
rules and regulations, but is,
instead, a book of principles,
and the second most important
thing a person can do in life is
to learn and apply the
principles for living found in
it.
-
That the Christian is commanded
in Scripture to live a separated
life: separated from the evil
world system and unto the Lord
Jesus Christ.
-
That the local church is an
autonomous body, with Jesus
Christ as it's Head, and the
pastor as the undershepherd of
that congregation. Further, we
are not ashamed to be called “Baptists”,
and hold to the beliefs,
doctrines, and practices
historically held by our Baptist
predecessors.
-
That rhythm-based music, and
rock music in particular, has no
place in the life of the
believer or the Lord's Church,
due to their sensual nature.
Therefore, we do not use or
condone the use of what is often
called “contemporary”
music in our services, choosing,
instead, to sing using psalms,
and hymns, and spiritual songs,
making melody in our hearts to
the Lord (see Ephesians 5:19).
-
That the Lord Jesus Christ will
return for His Bride, the
Church, very soon. Therefore, we
encourage all whom God gives us
the opportunity to serve to live
for Christ now, before their
chance to do so has passed.
